212 Sephora by Sephora by OPI

I recently picked up 212 Sephora and it's described on the Sephora website as an "opaque smoky black with iridescent, gold and copper chunky glitter".  Well,  they're not selling themselves short on the description of the glitter, because there is a lot more colour going on in it besides gold and copper.

That's a lot of colour going on in there!  You can see the flakies pretty well at the bottom of the bottle and the glitter is fairly dense too.  I took a picture that was deliberately out of focus  so that you can see the colours more specifically:

It's Like Christmas Lights in the Dark!
I really like all of the different colours that are reflected in the polish.  One of the odd things I like to do is to look at the lights on a Christmas tree and squint so the lights get blurry!  This polish reminds me of that.  since there's so much glitter up in here, it sort of dulled the shine of the polish and was really bumpy, so I put a coat of Seche Vite just to smooth my nails out a bit and to give it it's shine back.  It's a sparkly change from plain old black polish, not that there's anything wrong with basic black!

Half Moon Manicure With OPI's Yodel Me On My Cell & Absolutely Alice

Thought I'd have a little fun with blue polish and decided to do a half moon manicure with Yodel Me On My Cell for the base and Absolutely Alice for the half moon.  It's not a great photo but I think that it looks pretty just the same!  I was thinking of trying something similar with purple, but we'll see what happens and if I have the time.

The Colour to Watch By OPI

If by chance I actually have any readers and you are from the US, you are probably thinking that I spelled the name of the polish wrong. Well, I'm Canadian and up here "color" is spelled "colour" and that is the way I like it. I finally got my hands on The Colour to Watch and I'd like to thank the staff at The Beauty Outlet at the corner of Yonge & Eglinton in T.O. for sending this polish from an out of town store to their location instead of having me run around town looking for it.

I love lavender but oddly enough, most of the lavender polishes I have are cremes so I was excited to see this lavender with a pretty blue shimmer in it. It's formula is consistent as it usually is when it comes to OPI and it took me three coats to get to this opacity but the dry time was fairly quick. I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite because since I was travelling for Labour Day weekend and I didn't want to spend time doing my nails. It lasted 4 days without a chip with the added bonus of not chipping while I explored an abandoned building in Stratford, ON, which has got to be the cleanest city I have ever seen...

An Alley in Stratford, ON

I love this pretty colour and liked how well it wore and I'm glad the Beauty Outlet girls went the extra mile to keep my business!
